It has a cult following, the first time I watched it was when I was in high school. I really liked it was a little taken back by their consciences, but if I were to choose between the two, it would be C.O. by far. One of the Halloween episodes of the Simpson's, had Bart wearing a mask from the Movie.

No. it is only because it connects with a variety of audience; both young and old. So, more views. Even to this day.
A Clockwork orange, will mostly impact those of an older generation and its audience will be older individuals as you can't show that to the younger viewers.
