No one can grow when isolated from others, everyone relies on each other.

I have been an island it is possible to isolated from everyone, or shut your emotions of like a Vulcan. I can lock the entire world out of my mind or out of my life, if I try hard enough. The problem with this is,,, life pretty much stinks when you are alone for to long.

Being alone can have it's advantages at times, but I don't think that it's good to be alone for to long. So I think it's o.k. to be an island sometimes, when you need solace. Yet much of life is experienced to the fullest when you have someone special to share it with.

Think about the Japanese that were left alone on the islands, long after WWII had ended. It is possible for a person with a well disciplined mind or spiritual mind to be alone for long periods of time, but is it the healthiest thing?

I don't think so, the best experiences I have had in life, probably the happiest, were shared with family or friends. It's important to socialize with others, to get out of the cave and enjoy life. So I guess my answer is yes and no.
