At its greatest time period, the Empire of Ancient Rome was spread from the island of Britannia in the far west to the lands of Arabia in the east. It ruled western Europe and north Africa. Basically, the Roman Empire ruled most of the known world. It shared borders with Mesopotamia in the east and Germania in the north.
