          I'm just taking a wild guess, but this gentlemen is probably up in years, maybe 80 or 90 and may not be playing with a full deck???? Sad to see.

          National Guard discharge papers are not a DD214 I would have to find mine to see what they are.

          I didn't think the second listing would help, but those were the only two leads that came up on my search. I think the way the question is asked this gentleman may have Alzheimer's or Dementia.

          If he joined the coast guard at 20 and he stayed in 9 years that would make him 29 or 30 when he was discharged in 1959. Anyhow let us know if you find out anything, thanks...
