Light stretches and the speed is adjustable by gravity, or the life energy in this realm. I didn't claim the universe is 13 light years across. I was stating what the astro physicists claim, which is what I presumed you were coming from.
I agree that it is infinite, yet finite, just as the spiritual realm Earth was infinite, until it was "flushed" into the physical realm forming our darkened universe.
Dating of any kind is totally unreliable, since the substances don't/didn't decline at a steady rate over a long period of time. That is, fast decay at first and slower decay after a few hundred years. Since we only had a few decades to measure, we are seeing the slower decay now. You can make a fossil in about a year or so, under the right conditions. If you are talking about dino's, they existed as long as a few centuries ago. This is why they find blood cells in the marrow of femures, which if millions of years old, would be long gone, including the bones. They also find cave drawings and pottery of man and dino's interacting with each other, which proves they existed within the past few thousand years.

Through catastrophic events. In other words, either it took billions of years for the universe and our earth to "evolve", or it happened in a second or two. One of the main arguments is how long it takes light to travel using the constant 186000 mps, and therefore since the universe is about 13 billion light years in size, it must have taken this long to form, including our earth. However, there is nothing that proves that this was always the constant speed of light, and in reality, there is now proof otherwise that light traveled much faster a few thousand years ago. In the book, "The Binary Effects of God" the author makes a great argument that our physical earth was formed about 4400 years ago, during Noah's flood.

Thank you for your reply Freedom Fighter. What research has proved that light speed is decreasing, and how was this measured? Einesteinian equasions are reported to show that the speed of light -about 186,000 mps- is the maxim possible velocity and -as photons have mass and are measurably effected by gravity- that this can not be possible. Does E still = mc squared?
I am also a bit puzzled by your measurement of the universe in light years and the use of this to gauge it's age. The rate of the measured expansion of the observable universe is certainly below light speed, and has and is measurable, albeit expanding at an increasing rate. The amount of expansion from its beginning has not been able to be measured as a diameter, and indeed cannot. Because of its overall gravitation, it is considered to be infinite. But because of the space curvature effect is bounded within itself.
With the event of the creation of Potassium-argon dateing; which revolutionised the field and replaced the old carbon dating method,much sharper focus on the age of fossils is possible. This has shown our oldest known hominid remains to have been alive on earth between six and seven MILLION years ago! (Sahelanthropus tchadensis) You can see why I am a bit confused?
