we wern't born addictated to anything,but we all have a self destructive nature. so i think that would rule out dna,(what about twins) i think what happens is prolonged exposure to any thing causes desire, desire out of control causes lust as welll as addiction. thus creating what you can call a learned behavior or a driven mechanicism to our bodys chemistry. to truely concore our addictions we must first reconize for what they really are, that is sin...let god help!!

Both... So I dont drink... Bio dad was an alcholic
I dont do drugs ... friends were wasted
But I smoke mom was a 3 pack a day chick.. I am saddly addicted... Send me thoughts and prayers that I quit this weekend..

Depression is a multifactorial condition; genetic, personality, attitude, life experiences, physical and psychological trauma, substance abuse, and so on.
substance abuse/dependency is a learned behaviour but prolong substance use could alter certain chemicals in the brain.
