Yes. I personally think so from the way some goals are ruled when it comes to Canadian teams. And I have a feeling that even the owners of teams are aware of it. And it all boils down to the powerful greenback. Isn't so? Just take a good look at the goal the Calgary Flames scored against the Ducks tonight that was disallowed! One can see it through the net that it clearly passed the top bar and in the net. But, what happened? No goal. The league wants to get American fans more interested in the game and will mean more money for the league and its entities. I am a Leafs fan and I have seen many of those decisions made in games involving them and American teams.

Wow, I have been to many FL Panthers games, love the game, it's second only to football for me. It's brutal, I love it the only game where you can breakout into a fight legally. But any sport that has to cheat to help the ratings, is a corrupted one.
If they would just understand the problem with the game is people can't see the puck, and maybe do something to correct that they would have more success. Maybe put flashing lights on the puck or something. They once tried putting the blue color on the puck when it was hit at a certain speed. I think that was a good idea. I wonder what happened to that? Of course you can't do that when you are there watching the game, that's why I made the flashing lights suggestion.
I've watched many games where the camera men cant even see where the puck is, they are filming the wrong batch of players when the puck is half a field away. Anyhow just a thought. Good question, I'm throwing you a thumbs up on it.

Thank you, guys this is not about a religion. That's a whole different topic. So let's leave like that. It's about the game of hockey. About Mr Garry B., his cohorts and the N.H.L. Thank you.
IVE BEEN ATTENDING A BAPTIST CHURCH HERE IN TOWN AND ATTENDANCE IS DOWN40% AS WELL AS OFFERINGS, BUT YET IT STILL THRIVES
It's the way of the world, it makes me sad to say that, but you are right. It's the same thing with the NFL strike. The owners just want to make a new deal where they make more of the pie.
The only thing that isn't about money that I can think of, is my church, and that's even rare among churches these days. They don't pass the plate, it amazes me, yet God meets the churches needs. That's the only thing I can think of, off hand.
Cool, Churches are very important to the community, they pick up the slack that social programs can't reach. The only explanation of how these churches can get by on a shoestring budget is they are helping people, doing the will of God. My church has had the same problem, also they have missions programs all over the world, and the main problem with that is the value of the dollar has lost 20% in the last 10yrs. But, somehow they are able to get it done with the same amount or less than what they had for the programs.
I think God blesses you when you tithe, and are doing His work.
In all honesty, I don't think there is a conspiracy in the NHL. Not even Gary Bettman would stoop that low. If this was the case, there would be an eventual leak to the press and heads would roll. I don't think anyone would put thier careers and the integrity of the game on the line. I do think the NHL targeted all the wrong markets. The NHL needs to rethink the direction they want to go in. Let's not forget, we are now competing with the Russian League for big name players. The NHL can not chance a black eye.
