My mother will be moving out of state into assisted care. Her children are either in their 60's or late 50's and therefore do not have the strength to lift and dispose of the heavy furniture.
This all takes place in Brooklyn.

If you search for companies or websites that offer a directory of different moving companies in your area (here for example), I’m sure some of them offer furniture removal as well.

If the furniture is in relatively usable condition, you can call Amvets, Salvation Army, Goodwill to pick up, along with clothing and appliances, etc. Box and label, get a receipt.
The children's children could be asked to help, couldn't they? I'm 63 and could help....we might have to take it in small steps....
