Of course, they can. 

It is difficult but not imposible. I have heard of women that have had children at an even older age but the doctor will tell you that there are more risks to mom and babys health and delivery after a woman turns 40.

I'm pretty sure that as long as a woman's ovaries are still working, she can still get pregnant. I think the average age of menopause is around 50. But there is risk involved one of which is that older women are more likely to have a child with downs syndrome.

Its all about being aware of the risks and educated on what would happen. If you are healthy and have a doctor willing to help you, I think you have a good chance.
