Ammonia and water, will strip off wax from floors, just watch out how strong you use it.  Try a diluted batch, then increase it bit by bit until it dissolves the wax.

You need a stripper and probably a floor buffer. You can rent a buffer.  Go to your local flooring company, ask them what stripper product to use.  Not an easy job, time consuming mostly but when you reapply new coating, you'll be impressed!

I'm in a wee Scottish town,we keep the stripping private,(in house) if you know what I mean.

Well I'm in California, 40 miles south of San Fransicko. People strip on the streets, legal nudity in town, just make certain you have a towel to place on public seating. You'll get a fine if caught sitting without your personal towel.

Stain Removal For Vinyl Floors http://bit.ly/kO0wbo

I want to polish my floor but there is a residue on it that won't come out. Would I try the stain removal first and then the new polish? I wanted to have it done by July.
