After filing my taxes this year,I was told that I could claim my mother as a dependent. She lives in a assisted living (2 yrs)center.I provide her with all her wants and needs as if living on her own. Her S.S.covers her living quarters. Thanks for any info that anyone gives.

I would really question if you could legally claim her as a dependent. I would suggest getting another opinion preferably from someone that is in tax preparation.

Before the end of the year, I will consult with the one whom handles my taxes. Many opinions about this at my work place.I have never thought about it, until it became a "Hot Topic". Thank You for your insight.
    its not my problem

I asked only for an answer from someone who has a intelligible answer. Not someone with an asinine point of view .
