The short answer is yes. However, the amount is so small and ungodly expensive to obtain, it would not be worth your time. If it was feasible huge mining companies would be extracting it. Also, most mineral rights are already owned for nearly every potential mineral deposit in this country. But the best place to look in any body of water is at the bottom a few inches down in the stream bed b/c gold is heavy and sinks and is covered by sand and dirt being pushed down the creek.
