    where can I find a tool to put a slot along a table edge to install plastic edge?

    You can check a dremel (Sears, Home Depot or Lowes, Target, Walmart) to see if it uses a cutting tool big enough for what you want to do. If not, purchase a router at Sears, Home Depot or Lowes. Ask the floor person which bit you need for the job you want to do. Practice first before you use the router on the table.
    A skill saw I think would be best for the job, you can adjust it to the exact depth, and use the guide to run it along your line. Pre-test it on a sheet of plywood or something, there are good suggestions up there as well, hope this helps?
    A router with a saw bit will do the job better than a Dremel you can adjust the depth of your cut but you also have to get a saw blade that is near the thickness of the plastic edge.
