    what if the push forwad button doesnt perform as should on the 38 snub nose

    Good answer Benthere, yeah, unless your really mechanically inclined, but a gun is a risky thing not to have working right, it's like the brakes on your car, sometimes it's better to take it to a professional.

    Personally I would try it myself, but I'm pretty handy.
    The two answers are most correct, but try this first.Empty gun of all shells, spray area liberally with WD 40 using the red straw like nozzle attachment, work the button back and forth, if this doesn't work, like the other posters said, take the gun to a reputable gunsmith.
