I think its wrong that TSA does did it, I would be not very happy if they did that with one my small kids!!! What you guys think about it???

I have to agree Andrew that I would not like one of my granchildren frisked in this manner. However the officer ,in my opinion did not act inapropriately with the little girl. One can not make a true assesment with out the full details of a particular incident and you are not going to get that from the parents who naturaly would be on the side of the child. There had to be reasonable doubt for security to carry out such a search and we are not privy to that reason.I certainly would not speculate but several scenarios come to mind that I am not going to go into for legal reasons. I don`t know the family history or anything about them. I would caution any knee jerk reaction by some of the more outspoken of our forum members.

I agree. There really should be other procedures for kids. The behavioral contradiction between "I shall not let adults fumble on me" and "Oh, but if an official touches me all over, it's ok", can't be understood by such a small child. An adult can rationalize everything, but not a kid. Kids are way more vulnerable because they are still in the process of developing their personality, their self-esteem and their ability to socialize. They still are overwhelmed by the complexity of the world (as many adults even are) and need clear principles so they feel protected. The relative morals of the adult world are still beyond their comprehension.

I remember as a child going in for my pre school physical. I was to be starting 1st grade. I remember laying on the doctors table while he poked and prodded and checked me out including "the private area". I was six. I was humiliated. I could only feel shame from it all. I can well imagine what was going on in this child's head to have a stranger feeling her all over like that. Children do not understand out of the blue situations like that. Their brain processes it as a threat.

No, lol...I never opened the link. There was another link on FB showing a man with his hands all over a little girl at an airport too. I thought this was the same story. Now I see it's a whole new story. So two stories now of children being terrorized at airports.

I dont agree with the actions carried out but then I dont know the story. I agree with the other answers, take the child to a private room with parents. I could cite times wnen young children were innocent dupes to others so don`t have a knee jerk reaction is my advice.
Colleen I did not see a man groping, I thought it was a woman doing the frisk. Are my old peepers wearing out, I had the cataracts off. If it was a man how do you know he was straight, was he standing tall or did you see a bulge in his you know what when frisking? Carry on the good work. I dont agree with where frisk was done and definitely disgusted if by a bloke straight or as queer as a 5 cent note. No disrepect to our other wise inclined.
