John 14:1
1“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
2“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. 4“And you know the way where I am going.” 5Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” 6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

The me there is Jesus, not FriendofGod. Question not clear.
I don't think it was a question. I think he quoted part of the scripture, turned it into a question for the Q/A forum and posted it. Most likely to see who would recognize it? He's done this type of thing before. I'm surprised you didn't figure it out.
Statements like this is what made the Pharisees so angry with Jesus. When you read this statement the first thing that pops into your mind is this person is equating themselves with God.
"Jhn 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
Jhn 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God."
The Jews clearly understood that the things Jesus was saying were equating Himself with God.
