I had faith enough to believe that Jesus died for my sins. I have faith to believe because I have Jesus as my Lord and Saviour I will be with Him at the end.

You have faith then your saved (you have God) then the Holly Spirit comes on you and you are sanctified (God has you).

The bible says faith is a substance of thing hoped for an evidence of things not seen.It a gift from God lest any man should boost. Faith is given to us by God. God builds our faith, the word of God.The word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. God is Leading by the Holy Spirit to build faith by thru his word. Means he opens the word of God when we read means to understand,and then his light reveals thru his word devine inlightening, means he shines persay he gets our attention. We may pray about something on our hearts thats very important, and we see God answer it. So that helps build our faith when he answers our prayer. It shows us he does hear AND CARES when we pray ,and in turn builds our faith. And yes I know God, Holy Spirit and Jesus are ONE THE TRI UN ALL IN ONE, that works together as a mighty God to speak to a mortal such as our selves. It is truly a gift from God giving us the promise of eternal faith thru our Lord, And Savior Jesus Christ. F-forgiven A-attonement for our sins. I-invitation to come and be saved T-Trinity-FATHER -Son -Holy Ghost H- Holy, and rightous, and merciful,gracious, marvelous,all knowing, peacemaker,divine healer,rose of sharon, the bright and morning star,all beautiful, all knowing, my savior your savior the worlds savior, The GREAT I AM ,THE BEGINNING AND THE END. AFTER YOU SAY THESE YOU CAN FEEL FAITH BUILDING IN YOUR SPIRIT. Its alsome knowing this mighty God he is my Father thats how I kNOW. I hope you find the faith i did in 1980 on a Friday night December 23,1980. I TOTALLY SURRENDERED TO A LOVING SAVIOR THAAT CHANGED MY LIFE THAT DAY,WHAT NO MAN COULD EVER DO OR WOULD DO ,FOR ME, OR EVEN WANT TO CHRIST LAYED DOWN HIS LIFE FOR ME, AND I TO BELEIVE THAT IT MUST BE SHOWN TO YOU THRU THE HOLY SPIRIT, MAN CANNOT REVEALTHIS TO YOU THIS INSIGHT GOD HAS AND WANTS YOU TO SEE AND BELIEVE. Salvation is an instant judgment and action. Sanctification is a lifelong process. One needs faith to do the will of God, not to believe they are saved. If a person is saved, the Holy Spirit will bear witness to the person that indeed, Jesus Christ is Lord and they will never doubt their salvation again, or shouldn't. A person who is saved will want to do the will (works) of God, and will require faith in order to carry out His will.

Jann, Please explain furhter. Are you saying that faith without works only appears to be dead but is not really dead at all? That God just got mixed up? Are you saying that faith without works is part of our sanctification process? Thanks for your up coming explination. Norm1

i'LL try to answer as i know it!(1)-you really cannot have trust if you don't have faith, they are like for example,you've mabe seen a set of twins that are joined together sharing the same kidney or brain, if seperated they couldn't exist to live without the other, well that is trust and faith they are one and the same you cannot have one without the other. So that makes our faith and our trust even more alsom.Just as GOD,JESUS,HOLY SPIRIT ARE ONE. YOU CAN'T SEPERATE THEM AND WOULDN'T WANT TO. (2nd question) There is something you have to do you have to believe tHAT JESUS DIED FOR YOU AND BY FAITH WHICH IS TRUSTING HIM TO DO WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD.( CALL) UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS THEN YOU HAVE SAW YOURSELF AS CHRIST SEE YOU AS A SINNER AND YOU REPENT, MEANS TO BE SORROWFUL SINS KNOWN AND FORGOTTEN SINS. tHEN IF TRULY REPENTENT FOR YOUR SINS TOWARD GOD HE FORGIVES YOUR SINS CLENSES YOU FROM ALL UNRIGHTOUSNESS AND HE SAYS WE PASS FROM DEATH TO LIFE. EVEN THOUGH YOU WILL REALIZE THE MISTAKE YOU MADE BY NOT TRUSTNG CHRIST AND DOUBTING HIM AND JUDGING HIM AND HIS CHILDREN YOU WILL TAKE THAT TO YOUR ETERNAL HOME SEPERATED FROM GOD ALMIGHTY. ALL THAT DOUBTED CHRIST WHILE HERE ON EARTH, AND CHOSE NOT TO BELIEVE, THAT HE WAS YOUR SAVIOR. THEY WILL BECOME BELIEVERS ONE DAY TO LATE. THERE LIFE WILL BE A SEPERATION BETWEEN GOD AND FAMILY WHOM WERE CHRIST BELIEVERS FOR ETERNITY. as for justification we are justified thru our lord jesus christ. If someone even us goes to him in prayer as a child of God and keeps repenting for something we did years ago befor we were saved and we keepbringing it up. It means we have not forgiven ourselves but if we say GOD FORGIVE ME FOR THIS HE SAYS YOU ARE FORGIVEN GO AND SIN NO MORE. DO WE MESS UP AS CHRISTIANS OF COURSE BUT WE DON'T PLAN IT OUR FLESH BLEEDS JUST LIKE YOUR OUR FEELING GET HURT LIKE YOURS, WE HAVE DEATHS IN OUR FAMILY, WE HAVE DIVORCE BECAUSE OF AN UNFAITHFUL SPOUSE, WE HAVE CHILDREN ON DRUGS OF NOT OUR CHOSING THAT WE LOVE VERY MUCH, AND OUR HEART ACHES FOR TROUBLES IN OUR CHURCHES. BUT WE ARE NOT ALONE I HAVE A COMFORTER AND AS WHEN I GET COLD IN THE WINTER AND USE MY FEATHER COMFORTER TO COVER ME AND I CURL UP IN IT TO GET WARM AND COZY, SO DO I HAVE A COMFORTER WHOSE NAME IS JESUS MY FATHER AND GOD THE HOLY ONE THAT I CRAWL UP IN HIS WARM LOVING ARMs AND HE CRADLES ME AND HE GIVES ME PEACE TO RIDE OUT MY STORM WHAT EVER IT MIGHT BE I'M NOT ALONE IN IT HE IS MY COMFORTER. And yes if someone gives you a check if you don't cash it, it's just a piece of paper but when you cash it, it becomes yours to do as you want because the persons name is no longer responsible to it.and what you do with it will be for you to chose how to use it.

Hi Norm, Im glad you enjoyed my testimony. it sure has made a difference in my life, also made a difference in my families life for the good. My son of 24yrs old gave his life to Christ and his wife later excepted Christ in their hearts.And boy can i see the change in their lifes. And i see them growing in faith and in wisdom. Everything a mother would want for her family. Ill try to explain faith without works is dead, ok say you went to work at walmart, you just went in and you worked all week very hard with everyone else,and stayed late and did extra stuff because you offered. Then it comes to payday everyone is waiting around for their checks after a hard days work. Everyone got their checks, and they never called out your name, You go up to them and ask the boss where is your check? He says whats your name,you tell him norm, and he says i'm sorry i can't find you, he says when did you start to work, you tell him last week. He then tells you let me go to the office, and check with human resourses. He comes back startled, and says norm you have never even been hired by my employer to work,so do you did all your work here in vain. He said well i worked longer hours, and better than most all these people here. But the boss stated to him son you never was ask to come to work so for you have wasted your time and your sources so just go back home. So what am saying ,is that what people do they do? TheY chose their own way to serveor not to serve. The chose their own way they want, and their faith is not in the steps Gods states, but in a religous way that makes them feel good or justifies their understanding of who Christ is and why he came.I t doesn't always feel good to lose frinds because your a christian or to be called a fanatic because you follow Christ in faith. Faith without works is like getting saved, and never going to share what Christ did for you, or never go to church, or just stay home, and no one can even tell there is a change in you. Your works are sharing the gospel, tithing giving to your neigHbor as ChriST LOVES THE CHURCH AND GAVE HIS LIFE FOR IT WHO IS THE CHURCH WE ARE. iF WE NEVER DO ANYTHING WE STILL ARE SAVED, BUT IT SAYS OUR WORKS WILL BE BURNED UP .Whether THEY ARE GOOD ARE BAD ,IF THEIR NOT DONE OUT OF FAITH.Faith is natural for us when we are as an unbeliever such as just believing a chair will hold us up when we sit down in it, because God gives us Faith enough to trust simple things even when we are a unbeliever. So as a unbeliever if you are that person. He is the one whom gives you the faith to believe he is real and what he says is true. And when we believe he gives us faith to believe him for what he did for us on Calvary. So yes Trust FIRST, FAITH SECOND, Last but not least by any measure Salvation thru our Lord Jesus Christ its a gift.

Well i think to someone who dosn't understand the bible that it does sound as if were always needing to be reminded of what we need to know. But as some people get alheimers some people get away from God and fall back into their old life styles. As a alheimers patient takes a pill to help their memory christians need the gos-pill to help US remember who we are as chilren of God, and that we do need reminded where we were brought from before God saved our souls and changed our LIVES to a new creature in Christ Jesus IF YOU SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON A HOUSE CAR, OR ANYTHING OF VALUE WELL YOU WILL TAKE CARE POLISH IT, CLEAN IT, AND GET INSURANCE TO REPLACE IT. Well Colleen that was my moms name, Jesus Gave His Life For Us So Why Should We Feel Bad For Sharing What He Has Done And What He Says Can Change Peoples Lifes. What Kind Of Person Would I Be Not to be thankful and i want to share an answer for such a question as this. I could but i won't stop sharing because people get tired of christians or hearing about Christ and his word.I Can't Stop Because Your Tiredof it. *HE DIDN'T STOP WHEN THEY BEAT HIM, AND NAILED HIM TO A CROSS. But he saw youuuuuuu, that day and he died just for you. So what if he had gotten down from the cross and said Colleen is not worth the price look at all her faults why should i die for her, but in his love and his mercy he looked upon you and saw you as a child in your misunderstandings the world had placed upon you and his mercy was poured our for you and his forgiveness for you. You and I would be doomed if not for our loving savior. Think about it, is your doubt keeping you from the truth, We all would be doomed if not for Christ. Do you think about eternity if you really love someone and trust them you would trust your life with their decisions for you. Weel that is what it is to trust Christ.I don't want to doubt the one whom died for me a un deserving person of the price he paid for me. I WAS SAVED THRU HIS ABUNDANT LOVE AND THRU MUCH HEARTACHE FROM WORLDLY THINGS AND PEOPLE USING AND HURTING ME FROM SORROWS THIS WORLD HAS TO OFFER AND DOES. sATAN COME TO KILL STILL AND DESTROY AND THAT WAS WHERE I WAS WHEN JESUS FOUND ME. It depends on what you mean with 'faith'. If you understand faith as something als knowledge it will not be true, but if you understand faith as trust in Jesus, I truely believe you will be saved by your faith. More specified: you will be saved by the God and by Jesus where you have your faith in.

Hans, Kreijns, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I am not trying to create doubt in your mind. We ARE saved by grace, only by grace and by nothing but grace. I’m sure we both agree to this. I am just trying to encourage a little deeper understanding of what we hold so dearly. How do we harmonize what we know with other passages such as, “… faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:16-17 NIV. “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.” James 2:26 NIV

Since God has clearly said in His Bible that faith alone is dead how can many of our religious friends say, “We are saved by faith alone.”? We are talking about harmonizing the Scriptures: How can our salvation be by grace alone and still be by faith alone and by repentance alone and by our confession…?

Hans Kreijns, I would like to refer to a couple statements you made above. “…what you mean with faith…” “…you will be saved by your faith…” Vine, an authority on definitions of words as used when the New Testament was being written, says the definition for faith is: A conviction based upon hearing: trust. I take this definition as what is meant by faith. Please go back up to my questions (norm1 I have a few questions). Can you answer them? PS. Thank you for your interest in God’s word.

I have a few questions:
• What is the difference between trust and faith?
• If there is nothing for us to do to be saved why did God through Paul say, “…continue to WORK out your salvation…?” Phil 2:12
• If our works have nothing to do with our salvation why did Jesus say, “This is the WORK of God, that ye believe.” Doesn’t Jesus here call faith a work that we do?
• “WHAT SHALL WE DO, that WE MIGHT WORK the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, THIS IS THE WORK of God, that YE believe on him whom he hath sent.” John 6:28-29 KJV
• How can dead faith save us? “You see that a person is JUSTIFIED by what he does and not by faith alone.” James 2:24 NIV
• Is it possible that we can do something to RECEIVE a free gift and it still be a free gift?
• If someone gave us a free check for $100. And we signed the back of the check would it still be free?
