My 2 yr old pomeranian died today. She was being treated for pancreatitous. She was much better. The vet put her in a cage to open the door for us... wehen we walked in to get her out ... she had asperated... The question is do I blame the vet??? Myself??? Or was it just time?

I'm sorry for your loss Jenn. My heartfelt condolences to you. As for your question: To some, Furbabies are just as much a part of our families as the people in them. The pain of losing them can sometimes make a person want to blame in order to deal with that pain. Unless you believe the vet didn't do everything possible for her or that you didn't do everything possible for her, there can be no blame. Blame is a negative and will only cause you more pain than it's worth. Just believe it was her time and she is now completely free of the disease that had quite possibly taken so much out of her. Perhaps her little body just became too worn out. She may have appeared better to you but animals do have the unique ability to look well even at their sickest. You loved her and she knew it. She loved you in return. She's taken that love with her and it will comfort her as she adjusts into her new reality. Now you have to take care of you and do not blame yourself for something that could not be changed or done better.

DOGS ARE WITHOUT A DOUBT THE MOST WONDERFUL CREATURES AND AS A DEVOTED DOG OWNER I SINCERELY SYMPATISE WITH YOU LOSS. I WAS TOLD THAT WHEN DOGS DIE THEY GO TO "THE GOLDEN SHORE" WHICH IS A LONG LONG GOLDEN BEACH WITH CLEAR BLUE OCEAN WATER LAPPING GENTLY ON THE SHORE> WHEN A DOG LOVER DIES THEY ALSO GO TO "THE GOLDEN SHORE" AND EVERY DOG YOU HAVE EVER OWNED AND LOVED IS WAITING FOR YOU AND THAT IS WHERE YOU SPEND ETERNITY> NO ILLNESS NO PAIN JUST LOTS OF LOVE OH! AND POO BAGS. REST IN PEACE SOOKIE.

A Pets Prayer
My people are so precious Lord, I know you think so too, And I know you want me here,
To Love them just for you, They take such gentle care of me, And have such tender hearts,
Please use me Lord to comford them, When ever their tear drops start,
They face alot of battles as they, Live and work each day, They need me Lord to make them,
And show them how to play, The world is full of people but,, Some times friends are few,
Please let my Love and Loyalty, Remind them Lord of you, And when my final moments come,
Lord, tell them as we part, I was an made to order gift, Right from your loving heart. Amen.
