You should check your spelling before hitting "Ask a question" As for your question I think I was about 3 when I first heard this one. Answer? Umbrella.

yes, the spelling is poor, not just that people type too fast.. But spell check is so easy, why not use it? As I taught high school, kids would ask, "does spelling count?" I would answer, "of course, as does breathing, heartbeat, etc." I could at one time recognize most misspelled words, and would sometimes refuse to correct papers unless they took it back and spelled all of the words that I circled, correctly! It was a lot of work for both me and them, some would be more careful, as they didn't want to redo all of their corrections.
