I've heard a lot of people may be buying up the cases of water and jugs of water.
I suppose this goes for food and toiletry items too. If the Coronavirus hits hard than nobody is gonna want to leave their residences until it's safe to be out in public again.

The reason for people stockpiling items is so they won't have to leave their homes for a few days, which means they will not be within meters of anyone, except the people/family members who are living in the same dwelling.
Of course, there is still the risk that a family member may have previously been exposed to the virus before quarantining the family....but the risk will be reduced.

It seems hard to believe they are stockpiling to stay at home CB,,if they were staying at home,The USA would not have upwards of 19,000 new cases per day and 100,500 death toll..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
When this Covid-19 first started people all over the world were stockpiling food, water, and toiletries, Some were stockpiling out of fear while others were buying what they felt was needed to stay home and quarantine either by choice or due to the Shelter-in-Place/Lockdown.
There are also people who have not followed any of the advice or guidelines. There are people who don't give one s%*t about following the suggestions or the rules,but it is not limited to the USA.

Not yet. There are 30 confirmed cases in the entire country....no deaths. All cases have been attributed to people returning from highly infected countries.

Yes it does and even more likely to be a problem for those with other health issues i.e. heart conditions and diabetes. I know more than one elderly person who does have such issues. :(
Update Quacker,,20-march-2020..Canada 12 deaths and Aussie 7 Deaths,,we were pretty much equal,,fast forward to 26-may-2020.Canada.has 936 cases a day and 6000 deaths,,,Aussie..15 cases a day and 102 deaths,,i do not understand what happened..we heard Trudeau was closing down all Canadian borders and towns,,maybe we heard wrong,,you guys were looking so good..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

Aussie has 52 confirmed cases,but only 2 deaths,,it appears mainly people over 50 years old have more problems surviving covid-19,,one of our fatals was 95..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
I now know 2 people who have been placed on home isolation for a minimum of 2 weeks, that's what you get for holidaying in northern Italy I suppose.
The 2 weeks isolation is not exactly set in stone i believe Roy..and the virus can live longer on solid surface than soft surface,,Aussie has banned flights from China,but i believe we are doing something about Italy tomorrow,,we have not yet declared it a pandemic,,but it could be coming..Catch ya later mate >>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

I went to the grocery store today and toilet paper was almost gone! And the sanitary wipes that are used in kitchens and bathrooms was gone! People are in a panic!

I knew one person who unfortunately died from it, he was in his 70's and also had other health problems. I also know four people who had the virus and got through it. They were in their 40's and 50's and they were very ill with it for several weeks.
