I can't pinpoint one particular storm. However, I do remember there were several tornado watches and warnings the year my son was born. We were living in a single-wide trailer so every time there was a bad storm, I would panic. I got tired of running to the storm shelter with my baby
One night after a very bad storm, I finally told my husband that I wanted to move into a house where we would be safer. He said, okay and I started looking at houses the very next day.

We usually have several snow storms during the winter, particularly during the month of January. One is the same as another but the worst part of these storms is if/when the power goes out. I've been fortunate enough to be excluded from that headache for many years. January is approaching... :)

The Blizzard of 78 in the midwest was terrible! All roads were closed and finding things like bread and milk was impossible. A caterpillar bulldoser finally dug us out 3 days later. The town had curfews to keep people off the roads. Snow drifts were higher than a house roof! And I lived in a small city!
