Ok but to me, it sounds much more respectful and loving to say "my" wife. I'm guessing she doesn't say THE husband. It goes both ways. I've heard women refer to their husbands as "the old man". Same thing to me.....not very loving. For you though, after 35 years, who cares? LOL!!!

My compliments to you for your fine achievements in cricket. I was a 5 year old in 1948 when I had my first view of cricket and indeed television. It was a test-match between England and Australia and from that day on it's been my favourite team sport.

In 1984, I purchased a high-end turn-table. After very carefully setting-up the ‘platter‘, suspension, ton-arm and cartridge calibration, it was ready for its inaugural debut. I was nervous, the moment of truth was about to be revealed, had it all been worth it? I need not have worried, I was overjoyed and could only marvel at the wonderful sound, all stemming from the groove in a vinyl disc! It's a pity I can't take it with me to my grave.
