Schadenfreude is the experience of pleasure, joy, or self-satisfaction that comes from learning of or witnessing the troubles, failures, or humiliation of another.
Yesterday I had the pleasure watching our old enemy the Aussies getting thrashed by England at the semifinal Cricket World Cup 2019.

Your question could be taken several different ways west-bus.
Being a long time fan of our local hockey team (and watching other sports as well), I understand that emotion when it comes to sports. However, if it's a "final" and our team won, I still feel sorry for the losing players. Even though winning and losing is all part of the game, the "losers" are often distraught and sometimes even crying. That makes me sad.
In other situations, involving bullying, abuse or someone being plain mean to another, I detest it and could never bring myself to gloat, even if I felt that the person "got what they deserved".
