As I sit here the storm of the century is bearing down on us, so they say.. yup it's snowing, the cold is coming, gonna to be sub zero tonight and we'll below that tomorrow night. The kicker is the 20 mph wind with gust up to 45 mph. We haven't done much of anything to prepare I did get the tractor out with the blower on and cleaned the lane out. Glanced at the generator, yup I can unhook the blower and get that on the tractor in a few minutes. Got plenty of wood pellets, food and beer.. there's folks buying a dozen loaves of bread gallons and gallons of milk. Shelves are getting empty for a couple day stom. What to y'all do when something like this hits? Go with it? Panic? Just make sure everything is good to go??

I think there is a Wolf Moon and a lunar eclipse tonight too. I can't see it for the cloudy weather.
Last winter we experienced a major weather event which lasted for a few days. We were well warned in advance so I made sure I bought everything we could possibly want or need before the snow and ice cleared.

Always. It's part of life here during the winter so we just take storms for granted. Most are just a regular event but if there is a power outage, now that is hard to take. Nothing to do but wait it out.

It's supposed to snow both Sat and Sun. And that wind is a bit much. It's creating deep snowdrifts on my driveway. The " good news" is..... that it's supposed to be only 15 F for a high Mon. :-O We're going to have a heat wave this Wed of 38F . Maybe that will melt all the snow :-)
