I've had various nuisance cats (peeing in my flower beds) and nuisance dogs (pooping on my lawn and barking all day/night) over the years but never, even if I owned a gun, could I shoot any of them!   :(

And I certainly would be upset by my animal being killed.

My original answer was moved. I wrote that dogs of this nature need to be put down or sue the owners. Coyotes don’t stand a chance in our yard let alone savage dogs. Yes, shoot them...

Your first answer was removed because the information you provided about killing animals was too graphic and violent for posting on this forum. There are a few animal lovers and animal advocates on this forum who would have become upset if they had read the original post. Please try to be considerate of other members when you are posting about such a sensitive subject and tone it down a little or a lot like you did here when you reanswered the question.

That story  is so depressing. The man down the street lets his cats breed and breed and breed. His wife used to do that by sadly , she died at about 43. Anyway, his cats come up to my bay window and freak out my cat. She runs back and forth along the window and upsets the blinds and all the plants.They're always in my front year of back yard. He lets them stay outside all winter and freeze to death.

What breed of dog do you know, please don't say pit bulls?  ---- cats are not the only animal they kill but small defenceless dogs - i love all animals if it was legal in OZ i would not hesitate to blow them away.  (;

A few years ago we had a stray cat come to our house. It was pretty apparent that he was going to be the top cat by beating our cats. We caught him in a tote, took him several miles and let him go. a month or so goes by and he's back.. A day after I spotted him he was beating the crap out of our big cat, he was just to old to keep up with this new one. my wife was trying to spray water on them with little to no effect, I came out with the shotgun, told her we tried it her way now its time, he's going to kill our cats if we let him. he left shortly after that conversation....... For good.. 

Only if you live outside city limits. Will anybody see/hear shooting at them?  If not, poison them.
