Do you think Judge Kavanaugh should be selected for the Supreme Court judge, if he really tried to rape a girl 19 years ago?

....something doesn't pass the smell test

....if true, he should not have been a judge at any level or time

....how come it was not reported until it got at the Supreme level

....what if they both pass a lie detector test

well so far the lady has said her conscious would not let her rest if she did not let public know his so called deep seated personality flaws.
    Benthere

....apparently, her conscience was asleep while he was a judge all these years with the same public

Benthere, you know it takes different things to wake different people up about various things. And they say some people are asleep until they are 55. Just kidding.

Important information: Abuse of any kind may not be spoken of by the abused until many, many years later. It has nothing to do with what is happening in the rest of the world at the moment.....it may just "be time" to get some relief from a lifelong burden.

Really? Please be curious enough to read and at least find out the basics. This did not happen 19 years ago.....this woman is not 36!

Furthermore, she has a very impressive resume and there is also every indication that she was hesitant to come forward at all. She probably remembers what "the good ol' boys" did to Anita Hill? Do any of you remember? In case you don't, three other woman came forward re: Clarence Thomas and were not allowed to speak. Now, he is on the Supreme Court. Hopefully, the system is better today.....we'll see.

Ducky, this topic has really got you going. Right or wrong? With regard to the nineteen years ago and the woman being 36 . . . that's what the news station said about her age. I personally, do, generally, read, read, read and listen, listen, listen, research, research, research and learn, learn, learn.

This topic has MANY people going! It's obviously a very important issue and that's why this question got posted in the first place. Right or wrong? I KNOW that you research and that's why I was surprised that you had one of the very basics (her age) wrong. As an added note, I've had two close friends, each well up in years, admit to me that they were assaulted decades ago. Both were in tears. It is sad to watch and both were questioned (previously) when they had finally found the courage to tell someone. "Why didn't you tell somebody before now"! Surely people should know something about assault by now. It seems to me it's everywhere but some just don't "grasp"....still. (Not saying that you are one of those.)

Ducky you're still one of my favorites. lol!!! And, what a fun day. This is a big topic, which can be debated all day and night. I'm surprised I got that fact wrong too. I believe it was on 88.5 fm radio. Well that will teach me how to be more careful with my facts. I usually take written notes when listening or watching to something important like that. Because when I heard 36, I said wow she's young. It got me because 36 is my favorite age. Love to my good friend Ducky! Gabbie Tabbie.

The truth needs to be ascertained from BOTH sides before they proceed with putting Kavanaugh on the supreme court. His opinions could directly affect (even) your life one day, Gabbie.

Yeah, they still voted in Clarence Thomas, even tho' he was verbally sexually harassing the women at work. Ironically, one of the women who squealed on him had chosen to go out with him .

Please take into consideration “the burden of proof is on the one who declares, not on the one who denies”.

Of course and the accused, along with the "one who declares" must both be given a chance to speak. There is no need to rush his appointment to the Supreme Court. It can wait to hear "the burden of proof".

No I also do not know how to post a link, but it's out there

    Welcome.

I do NOT want him for SCOTUS. He’ll turn back the clock. Don’t want him at all BUT, the new allegations are just ai much bull malarkey. They should have no place in his own placement.....

Why do you conclude that she is a liar? No facts on either side have yet to even be legally questioned, let alone proven!

Never said she was a liar. What I wrote was that he shouldn’t be excluded from being scotus on that alone do to the age of the accusation and why wait till now to bring it up? It’s not fair but neither is life.....

You didn't use the word 'liar'. You said, "the new allegations are just ai much bull malarkey". Doesn't that mean LIES?

See my link above re: the timing and other links of information. We all need to read, read, read and listen, listen, listen and learn, learn, learn.
    jhharlan

Isn’t that what they’re called? Accusations? Ok, so Cosby is doing time for something that happened 35 years ago then remove the SCOTUS wannabe.....
    tabber

    hi jhharlan. what is SCOTUS.
    jhharlan

Supreme Court Of The United States, SCOTUS

    Thank you!!!

    Absolutely not!

I read one of the links Quacker put up.and all i can say is there is something rotten in denmark..but give it some time, this bus has got a lot of mud to run over before the truth comes out..>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

More mud = more questions to be asked.

I don't like the look on his face......even the first time I saw him. That's what Abraham Lincoln said about somebody and one of his cohorts said to him,  '' A man is not responsible for the look on his face '' and Lincoln said, " Yes, a man is responsible for the look on his face ''    I think he was pretty good at reading people.
