lettuce salad recipe. I would like your favorite lettuce(s), items that you add and the (homemade) dressing that you use, if you make it yourself.
I do make salads but I often think that they are not as good as they could be. Thanks, Ducky.

I like a wedge salad. Cut and wash a wedge of iceberg lettuce. Add cherry/grape tomatoes, chives, hard boiled egg, bacon bits, crumbled bleu cheese. Dress with Ranch, Bleu cheese, or Champagne vinegrette.
Also tasty is a spring mix with dried cranberries, candied walnuts, chopped red onion, crumbled bleu cheese, and that vinegrette.

This is a never fail party salad. In my family we just ate it up without sharing. Had to dig but here it is:
in a large, straight sided bowl, clear
Layer one torn up pieces of fresh spinach (10 oz bag) salt and pepper to taste
6 hard boiled eggs chopped
1/2 pound of julianned ham
one small head of iceberg lettuce, torn small
salt and pepper again
1 pack of thawed frozen peas
1 thin thin sliced red onion
top with mixed 1 cup mayo and 1 small sour cream
1/2 pound shredded swiss cheese
1/2 pound crumbled fried bacon
cover and refrigerate for 24 hours
don’t look for left overs

Spinach salads are more healthful than lettuce salads, b/c lettuce had no nutrients. It's only good for water and for bulk.
