It annoys me!
Is speaking proper English boring to some people? Why do we 'invent' new words, new expressions and odd phrases? The current phrase that is ridiculously overused is...."having said that" or "that said"!
There is no need for this filler....just continue on with your statement. Any 'new words' get on YOUR last nerve?

the comedian Mom's Mabley said, "I would rather pay a young man's way to Chicago, than to tell an old how to get there."
Some of the new words we are supposed to use to reference a person besides "he", "him", "she", "her"..... I can't even list them for you, since I won't be using them.
"Having said that"/"That said" - aren't they the same as "But" or "However"? What's wrong with "But" and "However"?

Even though she is "extra-terrestrial", I suspected I could find this on an "earth" website, and I was right. LOL! She has no tolerance for answers like this. Most common from her is " Um is not an answer", which is how many litigants respond when thinking of an answer.
