done a great job, instead? For example, one of my favorites is "In the Heat of the Night". Rod Steiger played the police chief and Sidney Poitier, the African-American detective. I would have liked for Elvis Presley to have played the part of John Norman Howard instead of Kris Kristofferson in the movie A Star Is Born (1976 version).
Barbra Streisand wanted Elvis to star in the movie along side her, but Elvis' manager, Colonel Tom Parker, had too many stipulations in place/he was being unrealistic and greedy so Elvis lost the role.
A Star Is Born will be released in October 2018 starring Lady Gaga and Bradly Cooper.
