    When describing a small city, we often hear.....

    It's a sleepy, little town. What exactly is a "sleepy little town"?

    ....easy pace, no rush, little traffic

    ....Mayberry

    ...a town big enough for a junior hockey team but nowhere near large enough to ever have an NHL franchise.

    Some hockey fans that live in a city with both, are already waiting for September. Now THAT, is sleepy.

    Austin in the early 1950’s. Still had eggs and milk delivery, swimming lessons at NW pool, minor league baseball....

    A "sleepy, little town" doesn't have a  mall, but does have a soda fountain at the drugstore and/or a general store. One or two stoplights, max.

    ADELAIDE is a 'sleepy little  town. very laid back, other-words DEAD, I like living here, low crime rate , regarded as the safest city in Australia, of course it is who wants to come to a city where nothing happens.   :}

    I can handle a city where 'nothing happens'. You can always drive somewhere to enjoy some 'action'. :)

    It looks a nice quiet town to me, I've seen a lot of photos, my sister in law's sister lives there with her family. They went to live there in the 70s.
