Perhaps some of his victims family members can rest a bit easier during the night and have a little more peace in their lives knowing he's dead.

He should have been terminated 48 years ago!

If he had lived in Texas, he would have gotten the death penalty. I don't know which states do and do not have the death penalty.

He was sentenced to death in California, but then the death penalty was repealed and he received the life sentence. He was imprisoned less than two hours from my home.

Good! He was never sorry for his crimes. In fact, he took no responsibility at all and blamed his upbringing. He was a pathetic loser!

I reckon his pain and suffering has just began, with no ending in sight..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

I don't recall hearing that he ever regretted the murders or repented of his sins etc.

he didn't regret them b/c he was a sociopath .

I’ve read HELTER SKELTER many times.  A true bad guy. Fascinating in that he was in such control of those surrounding him.....

It's hard to imagine someone having so much control over people that could lead men and women to take the lives of other human beings.

All of my cousin's 6 kids and step kids read that book when they were teens.

    ....gone for eternity

1 down, 7 to go. He received 8 life sentences but only served one.

46 years in prison at a cost of well over $2 million....you can just guess my thoughts. I read Helter Skelter and felt unclean and condemned to h*** through the whole experience

I hope societies get to the point where we don't create monsters.  Researchers have indicated that most serial killers and sociopaths were treated with real horror by their caregivers.  I have not heard the final analysis on Manson yet.  But that's my prayer for us, and for, in-humans like him. if people don't know there is training on how to treat babies and children, somebody should show and tell them. I understand that 7% of the world population is crazy people. And most of the time diet is not the cause.

Death was too good for him .And they shouldn't have sent him to the hospital. They should have ignored him in his jail cell. He got better care than nursing home patients do .

I wouldn't be surprised if he received better care than a lot of prisoners too.
