Australia votes yes to gay marriage..

Without going into the straights, the rectangles, the rounds, and gays, and unhappy....here is my point..the gay movement want to be seen and accepted as equal and normal as the hetersexual's..EXAMPLE,,Mr.and Mrs Smith,,,GAYS Mr and Mr Smith and Mrs and Mrs Smith..and if they wish to be married in a Bible believing church under the name of God,which is considered normal in the hetersexual world..is this at all possible..????i am not gay bashing here,,just looking for sensible opinion's and views..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

....61% voted for marriage equality in Australia

....I do not believe in same sex marriage

I have nothing against two gay people living together, have a civil partnership, do what ever they like in private.

But marriage in church, in the eyes of God was ordained for a man and woman.to produce children.  That can never be changed.

I believe God intended an intimate union  to be between a man and a woman. Passing a law allowing homosexual relationships to have the same civil privileges as a heterosexual union doesn't change what I believe God intended for His children.

Looks more like a male and a female mate..looks like they are just talking about what to do..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

I tried to find 2 together that I was sure that they were males. Now that the vote was "yes", a lot of them will be "coming out of the pouch" or "closet"!

At least the morals of a Kangaroo remain male and female,,although the male is not a very faithful Roo,,but he does stick to female roo's Clonge..nature at work mate..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

I see no reason why a gay couple should have less civil rights than what a heterosexual couple has. As for religious beliefs, that should be left up to each religious sect. If a gay couple cannot be married within their church of choice, then they should be able to get a civil marriage.

A believe marriage is a sacred gift given by God and is not to be abused.

I’ve nothing against gay marriage. If this is what a law abiding, God fearing, loving couple want to do, so be it. Being for or against is a personal issue as there is separation of church and state. The marriage is recognized by law now and is between the union partnership and their God. It’s none of my business. Judging is a sin, too.....

Gay marriage is not recognised by the law of God, the God spoken of in the Bible.

That link is a load of BS. You need to actually read the Bible instead of falling for all this nonsense.
    jhharlan

I’ve read the Bible cover to cover and not the miss worded King James Version. Who are you to be judge? God loves all his creatures. Perhaps some won’t make it beyond the pearly gates and I know I will not but not because I hold in judgement other creatures..... why not is my business
    terryfossil 1

JH,a person convinced against their will is unconvinced still.....and that link you put up is rot..i have never read of a subject twisted so wrong in so many ways..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    jhharlan

So, my best friend will never reach the entrance to immortality. That is very, very sad in that he is the most Christian abiding persons I know. God does love all his creatures and it is beyond me how he can favor one over the other. Homosexuality is not a choice but a fact. How can a god disavow fact?
    terryfossil 1

JH,who are you to tell any God what is fact and what is not ??????,My God listens to my requests, but what i get from him is up to him..,>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

@ Julie...I am not judging, I am only letting you know what the Bible says. Yes, God does love everyone, but Father God has strict rules and the Bible speaks of the consequences if we do not obey.
When I speak of the King James Bible, I am referring to the original 1611 version of the King James Bible which is the authorised version. If you have read a revised version of King James Bible then there will be unauthorised changes. The 1611 authorised King James Bible is the Bible to read not any revised edition following

@ JH,I reckon this scripture would be pretty much the same in any translation,,except for maybe the gay;s bible..which i guess they must have..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

Forget the Bible, forget my mom, forget public views. Mark is one of the best friends I’ve ever had from secrets to vacations to just being there. Hell is just death and if that’s where he’s ending up then at least he was happy while he was alive. He deserves happiness.....

Good.  Jesus died on the cross for all of us.  I believe he thought of all of us as equals.  I am fairly certain that if one of his friends actually came 'out' he would embrace that friend equally.

That is my take on Jesus.  I am sticking to it.

    terryfossil 1

Yes he would embrace them and forgive them as in this story,,however the punch line is in the last 9 words of this story...... In the passage, Jesus has sat down in the temple to teach some of the people, after he spent the previous night at the Mount of Olives. A group of scribes and Pharisees confront Jesus, interrupting his teaching session. They bring in a woman, accusing her of committing adultery, claiming she was caught in the very act. They ask Jesus whether the punishment for someone like her should be stoning, as prescribed by Mosaic Law.[2] Jesus first ignores the interruption, and writes on the ground as though he does not hear them. But when the woman's accusers continue their challenge, he states that the one who is without sin is the one who should cast the first stone. The accusers and congregants depart, leaving Jesus alone with the woman. Jesus asks the woman if anyone has condemned her. She answers that no one has condemned her. Jesus says that he, too, does not condemn her, and tells her to go and sin no more.

People love people and that book was written a long time ago. I believe that Jesus today would be fine with it and I am leaving it at that. My Jesus is a Jesus of love.
    terryfossil 1

Your free choice,,however the God of the Old Testament is still the God of the New Testament..time does not alter a God..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    FISH-O

You are correct, time does not alter God. That is why I am solid in my believe. I know where God is. I hear him and see him every day.

Nice chit chat Terry. Thanks. :)

Rules were handed down so we could have an orderly and organized society.  We live for a short 100 years if we're lucky. I am not gay, but to me we should celebrate that people can find happiness and love in a new way, before they go under the dirt.  We are not to judge others.  God does that.  All people for many years followed the bible saying, "Spare the rod, spoil the child."  Now we are learning all the bad effects of beating your child. (low self esteem, alcohol and drug over use, learning disabilities etc.).  Same way with people with love, sex and relationships.  In some countries in the world today if you are gay and somebody finds out, off with your head or you might just disappear.  (Africa and other areas overseas).  That's not treating people like you want to be treated.  So we grow as people grow in their viewpoints and behaviors.  Maybe God doesn't really mind.  If he did, maybe it would not even exist.  God gave us a brain that grows, explores and expands our view points.  Who knows one day being gay may be a survival mechanism.

    terryfossil 1

Sorry Tab,i cannot agree with all of your opinions on this subject..i can see your point on some of it...>>>>>>>><<<<<<<..
    tabber

right, that's why we get along, different points of view, which is good for brain neurons.
    terryfossil 1

That sounds okay Tab..and this time i do agree with you..>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    tabber

terryfossil what I like about you is that you will debate to the end. My dad use to say look at it til you get to the bare bone. You will stick with topics til the fat lady sings or til the bare bone. Agree, disagree.
    terryfossil 1

when all the fats off the bone, and there is no agreeance, then the grown up thing to do is "agree to disagree Tab",opinions of people vary greatly, but they aint worth shooting somebody over..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
