Romos, I could listen to him all day too. He died suddenly from a heart attack, age 52 in 1988. A group is singing his songs on stage as a tribute. A picture book just came out on him. it's at barnes and nobles.

I read the story about why he started wearing shades at his performances. Turns out he was wearing them at a time when he couldn’t find his regular glasses so, he went on stage while wearing his prescription sunglasses. It stuck!

If you go to see him.i guess it would be called the "time you seen him, without really seeing him".sounds like it would be worth it though Roy..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

You say he died of heart attack. Probably so since he smoked up to 80 cigarettes a day. Had heart bypass , and still smoked until he died. I wouldn't say suddenly. Thats just only a matter of time.

I'm surprised he didn't ruin his singing voice from smoking, like my (girl ) cousin did.

I am a fan! The black and white video  is a favorite! Seeing so many music stars in that is awesome. Like Bruce Springsteen playing back up!  Also Elvis Costello, Bonnie Rayiatt!

Never was aware of his music until he died. It was “Oh, that’s who sung that “......

I loved his songs......." Crying "    , ''In dreams '' , Only the Lonely ,  and  '' Pretty Woman " and others and the way he sang them.
