No, never. Same reasons as tabber. It has been highly recommended by various health care professionals, NOT to get it and to eat healthy and get daily exercise instead. The shots are free here (although someone pays) and every year the push by government to "get your flu shot" gets louder. The 'experts' will also tell you (only when asked) that the flu shot covers a very small percentage of the various strains and that the risks rarely get discussed. I suspect that someone is getting richer every year during 'flu season'.

Thats ok, Eating healthy and exercise does not stop anyone from getting the virus. The shot could lessen the effects. So instead of being sick for 8 days , a person may be sick for only 4 days. You sure are also right about someone getting richer during flu season. This is the time of year i start looking at pharmaceutical companies to invest in.

Right zorro. A healthy diet and daily exercise will not stop you from getting the virus. It will however, boost your immune system, therefore having the same effect as a flu shot, only without the possible side effects that never get seem to get mentioned unless you ask. It also gives you the ability to fight ALL of the various viruses, not just SOME that are covered by the 'shot'.

I am 51 years old and I have only had one flu shot approx 7 years ago for grins and giggles.

Yes here in the UK we get one every year for free when we are over 60 or have any serious condition.  A lot of people get them for free just by claiming to have special needs.

Really? I've never been offered one for free yet.

It may be 65 Roy. I have been having one since 2001 when I had my Subarachnoid haemorrhage, my doctor just put me down for one. Anyone who has had a serious medical problem can have one apparently, so you should be able to have one, as you had the same as me I believe.

    Medicare ?

    ....yes, 9.1.17

Yep.got it before i went overseas, however i still got influenza A,it is free if you are over 65..apparently the virus mutated after it was made,,me and the wife coughed our guts up for a good 5 days..2nd time in my life i have had the flu..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

I have good immunities but I opt for the shot. I can't,not allowed to, get sick.

It's funny, Zorro, I got my flu shot at Sams Club too. I did it a few days before I went to  the Paul McCartney concert in Detroit, b/c I was determined to let Nothing stop me from going to the concert. It was worth it. He put on a 3 hour show and he sang 36 songs. He talked intimately to the audience and established a rapport with them.
