Randy is our baby cat. This is the second attack by the harnessed cat, the first time randy bled. Now she’s cowed. What can we do besides suing for vet bills? This has been happening in the back yard (and kitchen), not the bad cat’s territory.....

Set a trap for the bad cat. Once it has been caught then call the pound to come pick the cat up. I caught 7 or eight cats inside a trap within less than a week at my house and each time I called the pound and they picked the cats up for free. No cat ever returned.
If you do not want to call the pound then after catching the cat inside the (tinned tuna baited trap) place the trap in the backseat of your car and drive it to a new location several miles from your home and release it.
Mums the word...You should not tell anyone what you have done because neighbourhood rumours will abound.
I rented a cat trap like this one from a local plant nursery. It did not harm the cats and the pound had no problem coming to dispose of the feral cats which were attacking my sweet domesticated kitty.

Poor little girl, I think I'd have an extra door fitted, one of those with mesh on it, see through. Stop the nasty boy from getting in.
About four years ago a stray male cat stroled in and pinned our little female down in our kitchen. Our boy cat heard her cries, chased him out into the garden, and ad he triedntorun up the wooden fence he grabbed him , dragged him down and set about him. He didn't come back again.
