Seems like they are very interchangeable ideas. I always tell kids don't lose your spirit, especially if they are a little sad about something. Your spirit is your inner fire that carries you through the world. Don't you like people that have great spirits? You can just see and feel it by their energy and actions. Do you hear people say, "God bless your soul". They're talking about your spirit and everything else about you. We tend to be very flexible around what is soul and what is spirit. Mycatsmom, May God bless your soul to carry on your great spirit.
