I didn't know about the "Canadian connection". Here's my favorite rendition. Thanks, Canada!

I still have several Bobby Bare albums but this song is unfamiliar to me. Thank God for you Clonge, you keep me being worldly......

Thanks, Julie. I'm glad I brought some sunshine to your day! You made mine!! One more thing... about your stuffed jalapenos: they're not just worldly, they're heavenly.

CB: Were you using the "British" spelling of "favorite" before moving "across the pond?" Did Romos talk you into using the "u"?
I've always spelt it both ways until I moved here. I still find it very hard to remember to place the date before the month such as the way it is done in the UK. I think it's confusing and the American way is better. ( PS Don't tell ROMOS)
How about this one? I didn't know Bobby had this hit also, besides Lefty Frizzell.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMYnfD4Y3yo
You want Canadian? Here is a REAL Canadian icon. Hilarious guy! I've seen him in person three times and loved every show. He wrote all of his own songs (300) and they are all about Canada. :)
Stompin' Tom....

Don't hit me, but when Tom is introducing the song, his ascent reminded me of the TV show, Fargo .
I like this song https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Stompin%27+Tom+Connors+Big+Joe+Mufferaw&&view=detail&mid=044811807A83CBBCFDA0044811807A83CBBCFDA0&FORM=VRDGAR

See my link above? :)
I don't know Fargo but Stompin' Tom has an east coast accent, very different from the rest of Canada.

I did see your link above. That's how I found the song. :)
The link should play only one song, it's the song I listened to last night that I liked.

"Ian and Sylva".....great duo. Alas, they broke up and the duo career was over with the divorce. Sadly, most thought that they were never as great separately, as they were together.
