Do you make them?
@clu: I used to make them with ground hamburg mixed with diced vegetables. My present wife makes a different variety using just vegetables which are okay but I liked mine better. But.... to answer your question, I don't cook any more except for on the grill and in the micro-wave.
A simple summertime (4th of July) hors d' oeuvre I make are Scallions/Spring onions wrapped in smoked ham stuffed with cream cheese.
The women seem to shy away from them but the men devour them.

Exactly MCM. Men don't mind. This is why I mentioned the spring onions are more popular with the men because most men just want something tasty to eat and are not as concerned about having onion breath.
My family does these but we add nuts to the cream cheese and roll up very thin slices of ham around the cream cheese! A little Woshshshire(sp?) sauce with the cheese
I use the paper thin sliced ham too, The thicker ham won't stayed wrapped and it just seems to suit them better. I'm sure it's good, but I can't wrap my head around adding nuts to the mix, but this is probably because we grew up in different areas of the USA. Fresh chopped pineapple just crossed my mind because of the ingredients in a Hawaiian pizza. LOL

Ducky they are so good. I have not had them in years, because of the fat, but if cooked right you will bite your fingers they are so yum yum. My aunt who was a fantastic cook taught me how to make them. I make very good deviled eggs, and have taken them to about 4 events in the last few years.
My father used to eat pickled pigs feet. They were always in the fridge and were considered "Dad's treat". I made fun of him whenever he ate them and of course, he then exaggerated with a loud "Yummy, yum, yum", causing me to laugh and make faces. :)

I remember the request for a coffee or two with Mrs There. Your invitation is probably hiding somewhere in the barn. :)
One thing I made one time was a hit! Little slices of bread Rye or any dark bread About one inch square Mix Italian dressing(dry mix) with cream cheese Spread on the bread squares Put a paper thin cucumber slice on top and then a sprinkle of fresh dill! These went fast! Amazing!

Well, Lindi since your dish isn't welcome at the party, you'll have to stay home and eat it all by yourself. LOL
