I had a nasty teacher in high school. Always singled me out for no reason. He was reprimanded by the school principle. He died shortly thereafter of a massive heart attack, in his early forties! Wow!

I've been bitter and held grudges towards many events from my past, especially the deep wounds caused by my biological father. Time does seem to heal most wounds. I choose to be happy instead of rolling in the muck .
