Is President Trump doing better than we expected for his first 100 days, worst or about average?

Nearly two-thirds of Americans give President Donald Trump poor or middling marks for his first 100 days in office, including a plurality who say he's off to a "poor start," according to results from a brand-new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Forty-five percent of respondents in the survey believe Trump is off to a poor start, with an additional 19 percent who say it's been "only a fair start." That's compared with a combined 35 percent who think the president's first three months in office have been either "good" or "great."

Trump's 100th day in office takes place on April 29.

    Personally, I don't give a S%it!

You could probably have answered the question with the last line and left out the partial statistics. 98% of those who voted for him are not sorry.

98%? Like you say Bob, it depends on where you get your news.
    Bob/PKB

Yes, Ducky, 2% who voted for him regret it. Washington Post-ABC News survey.

Oh okay. I didn't know they always got it right. Silly me.

....many times, he is his own worst enemy

....plus the democrates seem to be vengeful losers of the election and won't cooperate for the benefit of unity

I have no idea how your country became so separated with how the populace decides to vote... it is akin to religion in a zealot type fashion. Donald is basically 'executive ordering' all things out that Obama put into place. ... And, now has included his wife's ideas. There is no getting along on either side when people insist on pointing fingers.
The entire thing is mesmerizing ... to say the least.

A good salesperson will "Under promise and over deliver", not the other way around! Unfortunately, the Trump ego gets in the way of doing that and he has not accomplished anywhere near what he was bragging about doing, during the election campaign. I think being President is much more difficult than he thought.

    Bob/PKB

And, what did you expect in 100 days, with the left doing nothing but deflecting, conniving, accusing, and stalling?

Ah, poor Donald....the victim? He didn't know that BEFORE he ran for President? Nothing has changed so what happened to his plans? I guess it's all the fault of others or maybe the man is just not very smart. Like I said, I think that being President is much more than he can handle.

I think Trump thought when he won the election he would then govern the country..but he has a hostile opposition that has not admitted they lost the election, and are still concentrating on trying to get him out of the President position,i thought he won in his own right, that should have given him a mandate to put his policies in place that the people voted for..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

He can blame himself for his own problems. He is simply not as wonderful as he believes himself to be. Give him a compliment and he is yours. Criticize him and he spends the next four weeks wasting valuable time and effort on a rant. Childish.
    terryfossil 1

Hey Duck, not my country not my president, however i think people should give him ago.he is not a toffee nosed lawyer or a politician,so i think people are expecting their President to SOUND like a politician.when they actually voted in a Business Man..so i think they need to give him some rope to see what he can do or hang himself,he is in for more than a hundred days, the Obama and Clintons worry about the hundred days.Trump does not give a spit about that Duck..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    Bob/PKB

He can only do so much, and Congress is responsible for legislature. He is in an uphill batlle because of the incredibly ignorant behavior of the left as a whole, and some stubborn old Rhinos.

Don't Presidents have an uphill battle no matter which party? I remember listening to Republicans trash Obama too. I also listened to Obama blame Bush for everything that was wrong with the U.S. What's the difference? Politics and politicians.....ick!
    Bob/PKB

Republicans tiptoed around Obama for fear of being called a racist for 8 years. Too much of what he wanted passed, and our courts have judges who contributed heavily to his campaigns striking down the new president with little regard to law.
This is one of those situations where Ducky and I will not come close to agreeing. I see a non-politician in the WHITE HOUSE striving to fulfill campaign promises methodically and rationally, making some miscues, but focused on those who elected him, with the goal of bringing US business back to the US, and increasing the number of jobs available for US CITIZENS. Working on border control, thorough vetting, deportation of criminal illegals, and more. If he takes a jab at some biased judge, I don't care.

I will let you know when the stand off with Nth.. Korea has abated, that's if we are all still here.

    Bob/PKB

NORTH KOREA, bulletman. At least unpredictable Trump knows which is which.
    ROMOS

    Emm?
That would be North Korea Kent.
    bulletman

You never know trump might declare war on Sth Korea LOL.
    FISH-O

It's confusing. Donald invited dear "Rody" over for a visit ... much going on.
    bulletman

I have corrected the misprint - a simple blue.

Well, actually being one of the few here who live in the US, I see him going from promise to promise, offering solutions and being ambushed almost every step of the way by liberals, progressives, socialists (various Demoncrats), and Repooplicans who are just as ignorant as their counterparts, refusing to accept the people's choice and get busy serving someone besides themselves.

Trump has been working towards fulfilling every campaign promise, and liberal judges who rule on opinion instead of rules of law have been a problem....so far. The Republicans failed on health care reform, not Trump. Cruz has authored a bill to take a huge sum collected from El Chapo and dedicate it to construction of the border wall.

His numbers, by virtue of polls, not me, are not stellar, but it depends on who you ask. IF he were the fascist many claim, he wouldn't be having the stumbling blocks in the way.

Personally, I would give HIM very high marks for effort and putting America first. 98% who voted for him are OK so far.

The Obama scandals just keep getting worse, by the way.

....and I don't give a S%it what the naysayers and biased news think.

I cannot see to much to disagree with you on this subject..i think you would like our Pauline Hanson, she is a lot like Trump, only not as rich..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

I think that a person can LIVE anywhere in the world and be tuned in to another nation's politics. It's only a matter of being interested and then listening, reading and learning. Some Americans know plenty about Canadian politics as well.
    Bob/PKB

It makes a big difference where one gets news, as well as the opinion one brings to the table in the first place. A long time friend enjoys posting garbage from 2 years ago to dismiss the President. She, along with millions of others with questionable concern for the US, think destruction, rioting, and physical violence are appropriate methods to stifle conservative opinion. I find that behavior subversive radicalism that should be met with pepper spray and felony charges.
Yep, I'm a radical conservative. Hissy fits from spoiled brats are met with "time out". When you're past a certain age, "time out" means incarceration.

Rioting, destruction, name calling, bragging, stubbornness, etc., are never the answer to any problem. Listen, learn, debate, discuss, decide.

Leave "channels" out of it and listen to the words that come directly from his mouth, on his face, attached to his head. Then read his tweets with his name at the top of the page. Read and listen to what the man actually talks and brags about. Come to your own conclusions. The man seems "off" to me.
    terryfossil 1

Well fake news has not helped him..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    sunnyB

Sounds like you really hate him Ducky. I just think we should wait and see. I am like a lot of people here in the UK in America, and parts of the world over, fed up with lefty liberal politicians telling us what's good for us. The next shake up might be coming in France in the next few weeks, hopefully .

You could be right Sunny if miss Le Penn wins the election..it is starting to look a bit like the Trump election.but time will tell..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<..

@Sunny....Hate? Because I listen/read the words that come from Trump or any other person? I think we, in Canada, have much more access to American politics and many of us listen to Mr. Trump speaking, on a daily basis.
    Bob/PKB

Actually, Ducky, your words are coming off with venom, disdain, and a high level of dislike, certainly qualifying as some degree of hatred.
Are we misinterpreting what you are saying? It sounds very aggressive to me.

@Bob...I know you feel that way when I or others disagree with you, especially when you find someone who agrees with YOU...safety in numbers. That's fine but I still feel free to express an honest opinion. My opinion is based on LISTENING! Hate is a very strong word but I do think you hated Obama and he wasn't ALL bad was he? I'll still say that Trump is "off" and it will play out eventually. Actually, I remember that you were not so enamored with Trump a few months ago.
    Bob/PKB

To be perfectly honest, which I've done since day 1 here, I'm really not concerned with who agrees with me and who doesn't. Trump was not my first choice for the Rep. nomination. I voted for him because Clinton is pure evil.
I did not, nor do I now, "hate" Obama. He was a horrible president, and that is already playing out as his long list of bad decisions and sneaky backstabbing tactics come to light.
As I stated elsewhere, Trump made a lot of promises, and I see him working hard to keep those promises. I see the disrespectful nature of everyone who belittles my president for his haircut, family members, or "un slick" way of speaking his thoughts to be petty and sour. 100 days is barely out of the gate, and his administration has been busier and more honest than the past several.
Again, feel free to disagree, but please do not presume to think I need backup.
    terryfossil 1

    C'mon girls,we do debate,and when we cannot agree,we agree to disagree..Gee i wish i had said that...>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

Now seriously Bob, who could be serious or defend that hair? It's ridiculously hilarious! lol
    Bob/PKB

Picking apart one's looks, hair, skin, nose, eyebrows, torso, arms, legs, tush, or whatever, is petty, disrespectful, and cruel. If you did it in a schoolyard or workplace, it could be a big problem for you. He earned the presidency. What he does with it is the important thing. How he combs his hair is his business.
    terryfossil 1

Whats with his hair guys,i hate his hair,he has got some and i am bald..vanity is a terrible thing aint it..>>>>>>><<<<<<<..that sounds crook coming from a bloke..

Hair is not something that can't be easily fixed with a quick trip to a hairstylist. Curious if you would date a guy with comb overs like that flying all over his head? Somehow, I doubt it.
    FISH-O

Actually, Ducky is pretty much expressing how the majority of Canadians feel full throttle. We don't like the guy.
At this point we are hoping he does not say, "I like Canada and Canada likes me." .... We seriously don't like him at all.

Not one spit. ... No 'likey-like' happening here. No way.

I have said it before and I will say it again, Ducky is being polite.
One big Two Billion dollar a day trading country not liking Donald Trump. ... The marketing is bad.
