My better half was upset about Chuck Berry's death. Saying that because my father knew him it produced sad feelings. I was born in St. Louis, MO and so was my dad. He went to school with Chuck Berry. He told us, kids use to pick on Chuck Berry because he carried his guitar all the time. My dad who was a big, strong football player at Sumner High, use to walk with and kind of protect him from bullies. Years later my dad and mom went to see him perform at Circle Star Theatre, in San Carlos, CA. They talked with him back stage. Chuck asked my dad, "Where have you been all these years?" Dad said they had a nice and warm chat. My dad died 3 years ago. They were both born in 1926. Depending on what you believe, they might get to say hi again.
