We are cooking burgers and we ordered a curtain rod and red curtains from Amazon to match our new red rose duvet.

How romantic you are Terry. What a lucky wife to be married to such a romantic guy! :((

@ Duck, you are right, i am certainly not a romantic, she knew that before she married me..it is nothing to be ashamed about, simply the way i am put together..>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

True enough. No one has to change a thing about themselves, if they so choose. I bet that you would get a wonderful reaction though, if you surprised her with a romantic gesture even though "she knew that before she married me". Being romantic is nothing to be ashamed of either Terry. If fact, it's quite a nice, manly, thoughtful trait in my opinion and shows a loving side.

@ Duck,i prefer the word like,it is a word that cannot be mistaken for something else, and i have been loyal to my wife for over 30 years,i think that says something..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

Loyalty is wonderful Terry and I admire that quality in a person. Romance is simply an outward demonstration of deep caring or love or, as you call it, 'like'. It's not for the whole world to see. It's just between you and her. Ask HER if my words ring true.

    You two....LOL!!!

First, my honey and I will give each other our cards and gifts. Then  we will go out to dinner---- then go over to my friend, Carol's house. She's 82 and a widow . I always give her a Val Day card and candy and she gives me something. I'm giving Don's daughter and Val Day card and candy too, b/c she's disabled to some extent and doesn't get out much.

Then, we'll come home and drink Champagne

Uj, I'm taking my charge, David, to get his dentures.....

    ....we shared steak and lobster.

Oh my gosh... poor dear souls :D
I do hope you both ate a few vegetables with the poor dead beings.

    :D :D :D

I am in mourning. It will go away.

    ....and, grilled asparagus

Yumm. Asparagus do not fear death :)

I rescued a Guinea Pig this week. Not a nice Guinea Pig. 30 years in the pet industry and I had no idea that the cute little things could do very serious impersonations of vampire-zombies. He is in my house living in a lovely home, eating vegetables and everything else that does not include animal flesh. ... Geeze Louise and Cupcakes!

Who knew? They normally are completely unassuming animals. I took him out of the situation that was massively stressful for me... because he was going to kill another Guinea Pig, put him in a travel container, drove my son to Judo classes, contacted the previous owner who did not want the crazed Guinea Pig back.... insisting there was no way... and now I have a Guinea Pig that lives in a lovely purple and very large cage... because, you know, they roam a bit.

    Feel free to laugh.

....your humor is always missed, Fish-Ola.

I could have gone with the more traditional blue cage ... the option was there and so, I took it.
He is very cute. And, seemingly happy. I do suspect he wants to take over the free world but, that is a story for another day.
As far as I can figure, Guinea Pigs are very serious creatures.

I imagine I would be as well if I was not from a place that had Guinea in my name and I was not a pig at all.
