Black is classic, it is slimming and it goes with everything. As a woman gets older in age, the reasonable thing is always spending less money as honestly, you don't know when your last day will be.... everything going with everything is sensible.
That is what I have been told by women who are older than me. "Cut down on expenses. Look good when you walk out the door." 'Simplicity' is also part of the process.
Black, grey, white and out the door you go.
Also, wash all of your whites by hand and use the product that has "Oxy" on the label. A person does want their whites to stay white for as long as possible.

See the pair of paisley print Capri pants below. I have a pair of these, but they are bright orange and bright green and I wear them with a bright orange shirt.
Below is another shirt I wear. The only difference between my shirt and the one pictured it my shirt has bright red roses instead of pink roses.
The two pics above are to give you an idea of the type of clothes and colours that I enjoy wearing. Yes, I'm 50.
