I read that Rose Marie is still alive. I thought she died 20 years ago.

What I find strange is I woke up this morning thinking about her so I googled just as news she went to hospital was breaking and I thought 'oh dear' and about an hour later she passed! I loved her so much as a role model and as a comedienne... oh 'That Girl!'

This IS "That Girl" but not played by Mary Tyler Moore. Her name is Marlo Thomas and she is very much alive.

Oh, Rob!  Sorry duck, I didn't check that someone would have posted this already. CB!  Delete my posted question.  And you're right, duck. She was a spectacular woman. Never made the gossip mags. Did you know she got her start playing Peter Pan in the old B&W the commercials?

Didn't see your post. Loved MTM. Didn't know about Peter Pan but I did know that she started with her first love which was dancing. Then she got a taste of acting and loved it even more.

    Classy lady..RIP MTM.

She was great. I always watched her when possible.

Ditto to all the above. She was a great role model for the girls.(My girls I mean).I brought them up to stand up for themselves and to speak their mind just like she did.

All the actors/actresses I grew up watching (with my grandparents) are passing away.  I only watched her on the "Dick Van Dyke Show". She was so pretty and she always wore the cutest clothes on that show.  Apparently, she was the first actress to wear pants regularly on a sitcom. Wow....http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/01/mary-tyler-moore-pants

    I don't need reminding. :)

She was cute in the Dick Van Dyke show. Loved her hair style and she had a cute voice. Later on she had Type I Diabetes.....a difficult disease. And I admire how she was an animal rights activist. So am I.

          Can't believe she was 80 !
