I remember the two of us talking about our moms here on aka in the past because they both suffer(ed) from Dementia. I personally do not believe your mother needs our prayers because she's in a place where there's no more forgetfulness nor confusion, she's finally at peace. I'm sure you are grieving the loss of your mother, but at the same time experiencing a sense of relief because caring for someone with Dementia can drain you mentally and physically-heart and soul. We tend to grieve for our loved ones at Christmas time who have passed away, but the passing of your mom at this time of year, knowing the circumstances, should hopefully give you some sort of comfort. Your mother would want you to be happy, remember the good times and celebrate the season as your mom would want you too.
All my best
