Staying focused on the task at hand would seemingly mean fewer accidents/mistakes...on EVERY job! What can possibly be so urgent that everyone, everywhere, is constantly connected to their cell phones.....restaurants, movie theatres, plays, driving, check out lines, parks! Enjoy nature, read a book, or just plain be quiet. In other words, give it a rest!!!

For many years they have said phones interfere with electronics, and phones will ignite your fuel while filling up your car,,All have been lies, however i would not like to be sitting on a plane next to a loudmouth having a domestic with his wife over the phone..i do not know why people on a phone fell inclined to make sure everyone around them knows what they are talking about..>>>>>>><<<<<<<..

    ....safety first

Qantas and Eremites have had the privilege of the use of mobile/cell phones for sometime now, depending on the length of the flight it may be necessary for business.   :)

as long as it doesn't interfere with the communication of the cockpit and the ground, why not allow cell phone calls.? It helped the people on the plane on 9-11-01 to say goodbye to their loved ones before the plane crashed.

If I was trying to get some sleep and the conversations were loud enough to keep me awake, or offensive, I'd be "ticked-off". Likely, it would be very hard to escape this annoyance. One cannot just get up and change seats.

I have read the comments between both of you (MCM and Clonge). The best solution that I can see is to allow "outgoing" phone calls from people in flight to contact their families in an emergency such as the 911 events, or an unfortunate event like an impending crash.

I would allow you to call Romos, or for him to call you, to tell each other how much you love each other!

Awww! No phone call needed... Sweet thought! Thanks. :))

If people are allowed to play those annoying commuter games, why n""ot site some on board phone restriction to allow the other passengers to have a peaceful flight?
