    I have 3 favorite girls.. this is the third, Norfolk and Western class J 611. We rode her many times in the 80's and early 90's before they retired her to a museum, They restored her again in 2014. We spent a weekend in Roanoke V. To chase and ride her again. https://youtu.be/R2DGP0Cn2Ck

      Something romantic about steam, I remember trips with this one when I was a little boy, they have restored it to the original plans and it does the tourist thing now.

        Yep, it's a beauty, it was up my way earlier this year but I was working, missed it, saw a few videos and pics though.

        My sperm donor was a brakeman on a train for several years. This got me interested enough in trains to want to make a tiny house out of a red caboose. LOL


        The train in the picture you shared with us would be a blast to ride.

          I miss the sights, sounds and smell of a steam locomotive . We used to see it pull in to the train station in Ann Arbor, Mich when i was little. My aunt came here on it from Wisconsin. She took it down to Chicago first.
