Vitamix is a blender on steroids. We generally make smoothies with it but it can make hot soup, and a few minutes later can make ice cream. There not cheap, it took awhile for the wife to talk me I to one, but they work much better than a regular blender. Regular blenders don't have the power or speed.
The cheapest Vitamix Blender that I could find in Canada is $319.00 plus tax. Others cost $600 - $800. Man, they MUST be good!!! (My blender cost me $99.00 and I thought that was expensive.) :)
Yup not cheap, buy I have never seen a machine that you can throw tomatoes, garlic, Basil, onion, basically whatever you want in your soup turn it on and a few minute's later have soup hot enough you have to let it cool to eat. While your letting it cool, clean the container, put in ice, cream fruit, what ever you want in ice cream and a couple minutes you have ice cream. No heating element no cooling elements. We had ours for close to thirty years, with no problems.
I guess I should have read the write up about the machine. I didn't realize it had heating/cooling elements. It sounds amazing!
No it doesn't have heating, cooling element's it's blades spin so fast it creates heat or cooling.
Okay, now I really must do some more research. That sounds impossible. (I'm just being a girl.) lol
Check these out Ducky. I watched the JaybirdMcD27 https://theblendtrend.wordpress.com/2013/02/23/first-time-with-vitamix-here-are-some-video-demos/
oatmeal, cream of wheat, grits, eggs, yogurt, bananas, cottage cheese, jello, pudding, protein drinks, steamed vegetables (squash, spinach), refried beans, broth, cream soups, mashed potatoes.
Blend fruits, vegetables, even meats. A woman I knew blended Thanksgiving dinner for a toothless nephew

@ ROMOS... Gerber baby food is the equivalent of Cow&Gate baby food in Scotland. I know it is baby food, but the Vanilla Custard is delish.
