Do toads look after their young?

I tossed a baby toad into my marigold bushes and my neighbor swears he saw the mother hop in after it. I say no, they do not care for their young. What can they do?

    Is that really you Ben..???>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

Not so much. Your neighbor might have seen a small cat or rodent darting into the marigolds, but not likely a caring mom toad

This mother frog is carrying her babies, or tadpoles, in a pouch on her back.https://gridclub.com/subscribers/info/fact_gadget_2009/1001/nature/amphibians/260.html   Bit of an answer here JH..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<..
