When was your last encounter with an animal other than your pet?

....encountered some quail going to church this morning.

Saw a couple of young deer early morning about a week ago while out walking the dog, not really unusual you might think, but I don't exactly live out in the countryside, saw them in a small copse which is beside a bunch of apartments and right next to a very busy road, haven't seen them since and I pass that way most days.

Does a spider count? IThere was a spider in the bathroom sink and it couldn't climb back up because the inside of the sink was wet, so I spared a square and save it.

A seagull swooped down near Abner's head a few weeks ago and scared us both. Scottish seagulls are mean little b******'*!

A crow swooped down at me a few weeks ago. Not once but three or four times, while squawking wildly. Got so close I felt the wind from his wings in my hair! Yikes!!! (Baby crows nearby I assume.)
